How to open .MSG file in Linux

Convert .msg to .eml to open mails in notepad or we can open it in Thunderbird application 

You need to have Mozilla Thunderbird installed, or any email client able to open .eml files

 

To install msgconvert, open a shell, then type:

sudo apt-get install libemail-outlook-message-perl 

Then cd to the folder where you have the .msg file or files, then type:

msgconvert filename*.msg
